The Maca plant, also known as Peruvian Ginseng, is grown mainly in Peru where it is used for its properties in traditional medicine. Maca root is rich in calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sulphur, sodium and iron, as well as vitamins B1, B2, C and E. It also contains zinc, copper, selenium.
